OD'ing on illegal drugs?

Idk if this is allowed (just discussion) but which one would be the best to OD on? (If not allowed then mods u can take this down but dont ban me xx)

I was thinking heroin probably, I've heard it's kind of peaceful?? My mom was talking about giving herself an od when she was too old. And she has a lot of experience with drugs so I trust her abt that

I've thought about this off and on for years. Heroin would be my choice too. I haven't done enough research on what OD'ing feels like or if there's any reliable experience to be had. Seems some people nod off and don't wake up. Others go through intense vomiting and asphyxiate on the vomit because they're too doped up to adequately move their bodies. I'm sure with a little planning the OD could be more likely to be a peaceful death.

My biggest hang-up is that I know I'd need to probably practice first (for technique and to determine the dose), and knowing myself, I'd wind up engaging in a regular heroin habit instead of going for an OD. Lol.

Well, I'm gonna give my opinion on this. Definitely you can OD with heroine. However, there are several factors to keep in mind here. And those are important indeed. Your experience with these drugs, your tolerance, how you take them, your overall health, the purity of the drug, your reaction to it...just to name a few. Purity is key. Unless you got good contacts, heroin´s purity found on the streets is low, really low. In Europe, heroine in the 80´s and in the 90´s was really strong but not the case anymore. Cooking the stuff and shooting up the drug require certain experience...snorting is another way to go but your reaction to the substance and the side effects can be detrimental to your purpose. Several friends of mine overdosed with heroine and passed away peacefully. But every single of them mixed heroine with other substances (benzos and alcohol), so the timing also matters. Risk of sustaining brain damage are also high. It's an unpredictable way to go.
