Oblivious people commenting about suicide

Annoying rant.

Recently came across a tiktok from last year talking about a woman in the Netherlands (only legal country to allow assisted suicide for mentally ill i think) that is getting euthanised for depression.

The comments were absolutely oblivious and disgusting, calling it corrupt and weak. Here were some of the things they said. (screenshots are attached to the thread)

How could it be 'corrupt', would you prefer they jumped off a bridge instead? Gosh, people are so ignorant. They don't understand that some people genuinely do not want to live.

Personally I think that if someone's suffering is so great that NOTHING can help them and they've already tried getting help but still they suffer then WHY should they be left to suffer? No matter what their problems may be...

I mean, with our animals, we do not let them suffer immensely
We think about what they're going through and although we love our animals any person with a heart would look at their suffering and make the decision to end it if 1) help isn't available or 2) the help isn't enough/can't save them
We lovingly put our animals down so that they will not suffer needlessly

How is it that animals get this right but we can't?? RIDICULOUS
See, I mean, people DO love animals more than their fellow human...part of me can't blame them
I wish I was an animal to just have those rights and be taken care of in a way that isn't possible for me as a human

Also those people are just disagreeing with it because they are narrow-minded and death=bad regardless of the context OR they're bots

i feel like the people who completely dismiss assisted suicide are the same people who would give the worst advice and comfort to somebody mentally struggling, if any.

is just crazy takes. the first one is so diminishing of peoples problems, yes therell always be someone who suffers greatly and lives on but, it doesnt mean u should invalidate someone elses because that person is still around, you dont even know how that person even feels either, let alone if they are/arent suicidal themselves.
its like putting a pet down, its right because they are suffering but nobody seems to compare one pets to another's situation but when its humans, its a fight of "who has it harder" and if you "have it harder" then its deemed as ok.

and the consent one, u very much can consent whilst being depressed, theres people who still live day-to-day with depression, still make choices and what not. they arent some doll now because they have it, they can very much make choices on their own still, just like everybody else! depression doesnt stop somebody from choosing where to go in life, whether its ending it all or still living.

i hate these people, honestly, diminishing others reasons for death is such an asshole thing. comparing ones situation to another isnt going to cure them and think "heh, well luckily im not in THAT situation", they will still be in the same mental state or worse mental state. these people are lucky to have not feel like its the complete end and ur last option is death because thats all u have, its what feels destined for u. these people have just never been aorund those whom are suicidal, therell always be a reason, a story, each matter, no matter what it is.

i hate these people, they dont know what its like until they face it.

I find it inconsiderate and downright disgusting have so called normies think they have our circumstances to deal with, and they supposedly know best that we have to just fight on and suffer even if that means being homeless, SA'd, robbed, stabbed, (insert crime here).
Every country in the world should have Futurama style suicide booths with no red tape.

They even allow putting pets down even if they're not sick but you simply can no longer have them and if you take them to the pound they'll end up scared, caged and put down anyway, but oh no we can't extend the same compassion to humans that's just wrong.
what absolute self centered thinking to people's suffering. How about come back after they've suffered all the evils in this world and THEN tell us if it's wrong for people to suicide.

Anti-suicide is just terrible, dreadful extreme cruelty to me, all that those who want to force others to suffer for as much as long as possible cause is way more pain and harm in this existence where there is no limit as to how much agony one can feel, to me it's criminal denying the option to cease existing painlessly, allI want is peace from this torturous, dreadful existence I just always saw as a mistake in the first place and I just always suffer so much from being so cruelly denied that, there is just so much horrific cruelty in how those people want to do all they can to imprison others in this torturous existence.
