What the fuck!!! :ohhhh:
I always thought that my brother was immune to this sort of thing because he's been consistently healthy & beautiful throughout his entire life, but holy shit! As soon as he got infected with Covid he started manifesting the same symptoms as I'm having from motor neuron disease (where my veins feel like they're infused with sulphuric acid).

Why is this happening to us?

I should be the only one to suffer!

I don't know how to help him because I can't even help myself ;-;

I don't want my little brother to end up like me 😰

After all, we are all human and we are all capable of suffering to great extents. The human body is capable of torturing us, and there is no limit as to how bad it can get. This life is very depressing. I wish you the best.

I'm sorry that you're suffering so much and that your brother is beginning to show symptoms of the same. Could there be a genetic component to your condition that's manifesting itself late in your brother's case? I have no idea, just speculating.

On the other hand, it could also be a temporary condition/symptom caused by COVID-19. The virus is causing fairly different symptoms in different people and your brother's condition might be one of them.

I sincerely hope that your brother's symptoms are only a temporary problem caused by COVID-19. I wish you and your brother the best.

prolifers really have no excuse when it comes to denying peaceful death to physically ill people. It's raw cruelty, nothing else. at least they could somehow be excused to deny to mentally ill people since most people have no awareness of the seriousness of mental illnesses, but everyone is supposed to understand how unbearable physical illnesses are. I just don't understand how they can be so heartless. If they could put all that energy in creating a more accessible environment for the disabled, that'd be great. but they simply chose to use their energy to prevent peaceful death. It's just the choice they made.

There must definitely be a genetic component to it, but I never thought it would affect him, since he's thrived for his entire life. I guess it's just that our immune systems are crummy. We don't ever get sick from regular illnesses like the flu, but Lyme Disease and Covid appear to be our undoing.
Thank you for your kindness - I truly hope he gets better too. Unlike me, my brother is a normal person with an active social life and he wants a future for himself & eventually to raise a family of his own. It would be a tragedy if he were to lose that opportunity due to this. Personality-wise he's far removed from my suicidal mentality; he hasn't craved death since he was young (probably because he was never abused like I was). He fears death greatly, as is typical for someone of his social status and healthy upbringing.

No, my parents are both "normal" as of now with no sign of developing a neurological condition (who knows if Covid would affect them though? Lyme disease hasn't).

Your brother needs to be careful with the vaccine, especially if its covid itself triggering this disease in him.

He never received the Covid vaccine since I've had such horrific reactions to vaccines in the past. Thank you for the word of warning though.

I think the.vax triggered autoimmune disease in me but doctors argue that it was underlying. I cant prove it and they maybe right but i fell ill the day after the vax. Drs can't do anything.apart from painkillers. I have gut failure and neuropathy everywhere due to endocrine failure.

Physicians truly are useless. I've never encountered a profession as barbaric and primitive as modern medicine is. I'm so sorry they screwed you over like that.

I dont blame the doctors in my case. I think what hit home is how limited modern medicine is. I expected so much but not to die so soon. I dont think 36 is old. I was fit and healthy last Year. Now im like a dying old man. I just want to be released.

In my specific case It took only a year or so for me to transition from what could be considered a functional and decent looking human being into the sickly & bedridden leper that I am today.

It's insane how fast disease can eat away at a person and render them a hollow shell of what they once were.

I hope that you're at least fairing much better than I am, though! (I am afflicted with a seemingly unending number of ailments).

I get the desire for relief & release. I crave it every day. I desperately wish things were simpler. Nobody should be forced to shoulder such insurmountable burdens.

This life is so cruel. Neither you nor your brother deserve this fate. I remember you saying something before about how beautiful and talented he is. Sadly, genetics can make us predisposed to a number of godawful ailments, and all it takes is exposure to a single virus or pathogen which can act as the catalyst towards a permanent shift in gene expression, even if everything is going perfectly fine prior to this.

My mother has CFS and it doesn't surprise me that both me and one of my bio siblings developed it too. Likewise, all of us have Autism as well. It is so disheartening to realize how one tiny molecule can fuck our lives up so much and disrupt our entire existence.

It is so cruel how these ghoulish insurance companies and doctors are depriving you of the drugs that could make your condition somewhat manegable too. The academic and scientific sector has little interest in investigating diseases like ours, or finding interventions to remedy them. Though I truly wish this was not the case.

if it's autoimmune-related stuff, it can very likely be a genetic predisposition. my ex and two of her siblings have autoimmune conditions that remain undiagnosed.

there's a quote I really like. "cure sometimes, treat often, comfort always."

it's a fucking shame our medical system is practically doing none of that.
