My update

Still waiting to receive my firearm. My background check is delayed. It could take up to 30 days, so hopefully just one more week or two. I don't have anything on my record that would disqualify me from owning a firearm. This was my preferred method because I was going to use a hollowpoint bullet, and I know that those type of bullets shatter everything so, the probability of me surviving would be nearly impossible. However, I'm getting anxious because I have been waiting around for two weeks now and I'm still ready to go. I was thinking about picking a Plan B method if the firearm doesn't work out but I can't think of anything because I'm too worried about being a vegetable so I'm hesitant. I also decided instead of writing letters, I'm just going to make videos for people. I want to be able to apologize to them and explain what it was like being me and living with bipolar. my anxiety is so high right now because I'm ready to go and I've had to wait me positive energy that I don't have to wait much longer.

Firearms were the only method I was willing to consider when I first looked at the stats. But after thinking about it more, and considering I have zero experience with them and zero intention of getting any experience, I started thinking about how wrong that could go. I decided to abandon the idea of that method completely, mostly for fear of becoming a vegetable, the same thing you fear with other methods. Idk what to tell you, take some deep breaths, try to relax a little if possible, you can always look over the resource compilation megathread if you want to consider something else for a plan B.

There are a number of organizations trying to reduce ex military suicides. So common and so sad. I had occasionally donated to a cause but didn't do enough. Might not have anything to do with your situation I don't know. Still sad. This world is so upside down
