My family is understanding about my wanting to die, but how would they react to the reality of it, especially if I up and disappear without a note?

I think about this too, my family has heard me mention wanting to die but I think about when it actually happens how they will react. I am not leaving a note either.

It will be one of life's mysteries, unless you believe in afterlife of some kind in which case perhaps you will see it unfold?

Notes are dumb. I want disbelief, anger, chaos as a result.

I can relate, I am selfish because I want to be the only one who really knows what went down and this is a personal decision anyways so I don't feel the need to give people "closure" through a half hearted note or something

My family would find out but it'd probably be a week later.

Well that would certainly be chaos, I am sure your corpse at that point would be quite the shock

Chaos even though they would understand? My body would either not be found or in a coroner's office the day I jump. They would find out because my plates would tell who I am.

I didn't know you were jumping so yeah they wouldn't find the corpse themselves necessarily. However, even if people understand, death can leave unfinished business behind and things like that so it would definitely at least be disrupting to people if not the chaos you want.

The chaos I want is for a black hole to emerge at my moment of death and suck in the bystanders

It is hard to say how people would react, we will never know how others react after our death as we will not be there to see it. I think that often people grieve, but it would not matter to me as I will no longer exist.
