Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

New here, so sorry if this is a silly post.

I was wondering what the most reversible methods of ctb are. I saw that SN can be cured with methylene blue and usually has no long-term consequences. Some of the "do not use" methods also have a low fatality rate, but do carry the risk of your liver or something being fried forever.

I'm a really neurotic person, and in life knowing there was always a way out brought me comfort, and now, knowing if there's a way out to my way out if I regret it will make me feel more comfortable. My biggest fear is dying slowly and realizing that all my problems could've been fixed, or that I wanted to see my friends again, or watch the sun rise one last time, but it being too late or there being no cure.

The View from Halfway Down from Bojack Horseman really scared me, and so I was just wondering what some reliable yet reversible methods of ctb are.

Cheers.

If it's possible that all your problems can be fixed, then I recommend trying to fix them instead of attempting with something that may or may not be able to be reversed. If you ever get to the point where you want to CTB with no chance of it being reversed, you'll know. Until then, do not attempt.

I have used OD a lot for CTB and I haven't got any long term problem because of it. But OD itself is a non method unless one has access to N.
I think almost all of the other methods are irreversible. Drowning swb psh fsh co inert gas plastic bag all are irreversible beyond a certain point

Thank you for your words. In truth, I don't know if I'll ever know. I'm spending dozens of hours a day just passively thinking about dying, and yet when faced with eternity, I'm still worried I'll regret it. I really don't think there are solutions to some of these problems. I guess I'll do some more soul-searching in the coming days. I hope you have a wonderful week.

That was the plan. It's making me laugh to think how absurd this mental illness is, but in my mind, I need to "prove" that I'm sick and that my suffering is real. And so I was going to end up gorging myself on pretty much every pill in my house as well as some alcohol, because I'd be embarrassed if I ended up going to the hospital and all I took were like fifteen sleeping pills.

It always depends on how far you go. I've tried partial hanging a few times (but only once seriously), and it's pretty easy to undo, but only within the first 30 seconds of having the noose fully tightened around your neck. I have no permanent injuries, but if you do pass out for more than a few minutes, you'll end up with brain damage.

That description makes it sound more intense than it actually is. Setting it up takes time. Positioning the noose correctly around your neck takes time. Tightening the noose takes time. You have 15-30 seconds until you pass out, but that feels like a lot of time when you're dying. As long as you don't pass out, you probably won't have any physical injuries. A lot of people don't like partial hanging because it's so reversible. SI frequently gets in the way, so some people opt for something like FSH or ligature strangulation, which are both still reversible, they just require a bit more effort to undo.

Nothing is going to be reliably reversible in the way you are describing. I mean, I guess just thinking about suicide is inherently reversible, so that's something. Honestly, for most of my life that's probably how I approached suicidal ideation. It was something I thought about a lot, but never tried to commit. And that helped for long stretches. You never HAVE to commit.

If you get to a point where you want to commit, you need to be prepared that you might not be able to turn back. That's an important part of the process and it's okay to not be there yet. Thinking about is okay. For some people, it's even enough. But if you want to CTB, you need to be prepared that the bus might not let you off even if you feel immediate regret. Even something like SN, you might get taken somewhere that lacks the antidote. Or it might be too late when help arrives. As best as you can, you need to understand this before you try to commit.
