• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Not sure whether I really act according to my internal motivation as much as I'd like, though. Fear of conflict is too high, so instead, I suffer internally.

Should do this one next...

This is an interesting topic.

Bhs mencken morality test result

I am baffled that my institutional faith is as high as it is.

While I am here I will say a (tiny) bit about morality and systems of control.

In a vacuum morality is a great thing, but in practice human factors complicate it to the point of unrecognizability.

Morals are more often than not used to imprint (maybe inflict is a more appropriate word?) the predominant manner of thinking onto others (primarily children). If a child begins to question morality their parents will give them a non answer (i.e. "god made it that way") or tell them to stop asking so many questions.

Anyways, I am too tired to think. Maybe I need more potassium in my diet. Argh.

You are The Private Stoic.

The Private Stoic

You live by a strict internal moral code but avoid public displays of virtue. Integrity and consistency are your guiding stars, yet you don't seek recognition or applause for your ethics. Quiet and reserved, you value self-discipline and personal responsibility, maintaining your principles regardless of social pressure. Your morality is deeply personal and internalized; you care more about your own sense of right and wrong than about convincing others or engaging in moral debates.

Argh, I used I.e. when I should have used e.g. instead.

Internalized, true.
But idealism tsk I have much less faith in are inherent "goodness" then that 50% but who really knows? I don't know the real answer myself so Its neither right nor wrong, I suppose, I find these little tests more amusing then educational or all that Insightful, but I like doing them, also pretty surprised on that institutional faith, oh shit forgot I was raised as a sister at the Kingdom Hall haha, I'm not religious personally I just was when I was younger, as my parents are Jehovah's witnesses.

The Rational Pragmatist

For you, morality is less about rigid ideals and more about practical outcomes. You assess each situation individually, making ethical choices based on what works best in context. Flexibility is key—you recognize that sometimes compromises are necessary, and that absolute principles don't always fit real life. Your focus is on achieving tangible results, not moral purity, and you're comfortable navigating complex dilemmas where right and wrong blur.

I thought my institutional faith would be lower, to be honest. But I suppose it is somewhat accurate.

Morals
The Altruistic Reformer

Passionately committed to improving society, you dedicate yourself to causes that promote justice, equality, and the common good. Your morality is outward-facing, focused on public virtue and collective progress. You often prioritize the needs of others above your own and are willing to make personal sacrifices to advance your ideals. Though sometimes idealistic to a fault, your drive to enact positive change motivates you to persist even in the face of setbacks or opposition.
lol what a bootlicker

I really don't like these 5-level sorts of tests; I feel like having the different levels messes with my results.
