Location for firearm CTB

I finally have access and while I haven't shot at the range before, I've basically got the process of reloading/firing from youtube tutorials (I'm guessing flinching at recoil shouldn't be an issue, since the shot is too instantaneous for me to react to any recoil). My current plan is to get the firearm on a weekend, then drive to an abandoned car park (or at least a floor of a car park where there's no one nearby) and finish the job inside.
Do you guys think that's a good plan, or is it too risky? If not, what other areas would you guys suggest?

Hey there, I'm not sure if you're still with us or not. If you are, I really hope that you are doing okay. I'm struggling with the same question right now. I think your idea (low-traffic parking area) is about as good as any? I'd like to be found, and fairly quickly as I don't want my family to wait for hours (or days) in agony, but not CTB in such a public area that it might attract media attention.
