Definitely a good amount of force to penetrate the sternum. There's also slicing open your jugular in your neck area.

Sounds too painful for me but I've thought of stabbing myself in the stomach some years ago.

I often think if I was to get mugged whilst out and about, I wouldn't give them any of my possessions, I'd probably be aggro back to encourage them to shank me to save me having to cbt myself. Knife crime is big and common in the UK.
