Any of you out there planning this have kids ? If so is it delaying you doing this ? Do you feel bad for leaving them behind with their mother ?

I like how you just assume that anyone considering suicide is a father not a mother.

Parents of both genders do take their lives, unfortunately.

I dearly want to be a mother but can see having got to suicidal levels of depression this is not responsible.

I have the utmost sympathy for parents driven to take their own lives regardless, and for the children they leave behind.

Sincere apologies was not my attention to make assumptions based on gender, I wrote this from my own personal perspective of being a father. Of course I accept that both parents suffer wish issues and both can have these thoughts.

I'm curious as to why you're considering kids if you plan to die or think you likely will. Is it that your partner wants kids, and if yes, does she know you're suicidal?

I planned to have kids before starting to have suicidal thoughts.

Now that I want to cbt, I don't plan to have kids anymore because I'm not irresponsible at the point of bringing life to a child that will be orphan.

I wasn't feeling like this before I had kids. Now they're the only reason I'm still here but it's getting harder every day!
