• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

The above process of attaining a peaceful death for your animal is the highest of luxuries. If you're a dog, you get to leave this world within the comforts of your own home, or a custom place you loved the most in this world, all while surrounded by loved ones. You are also provided with a sleeping agent before the injection of a concentrated barbiturate, so you aren't even in a full state of awareness while the drug to initiate your death is being administered.

Just why. Why does humanity demand us to pay such a high toll to exit this world? I didn't ask to be human. Not one of us did.

Instead I have to throw up my SN alone and anonymously. Meh. Life's just unfair, it's like that.

Don't want anyone to fit me into an adult diaper as I die. Don't want children petting me, either.

Because those dogs come from privileged background and live in the first world country.

There's some third worlder's comment under the video calling Americans selfish for not letting their dogs die from natural causes (cause drama and pain is good yk).

So don't be jealous of dogs. No average pet outside a few countries dies as easy as an average human.

Yes, I agree. We all deserve an option of a peaceful way out as none of us asked to be alive in the first place. It is cruel how society expects us to suffer for decades. Instead in order to leave this world we have to use unpleasant methods and many methods could leave us with consequences if we fail them. A peaceful death is what I want. I see the right to die as important.

Unfortunately that happens to disabled humans too, and the nurses will do far, far worse than pet you. :mmm:

You do make a good point.

However, if this sort of service is at least provided to pets in America, it should be provided to humans in America too.

I have been through this with two of our dogs, and it was very quick and peaceful for them. They were completely relaxed and asleep within 10 seconds after the first shot of sedative.

Four years ago my MIL had a stroke (she also had Alzeimer's) and lost her ability to swallow. According to her living will, they had to stop giving her tube feedings, and basically she was allowed to die (legally) of dehydration. They told us it would take a day or so, but she lasted for ten days. If anyone did that to a dog, they would be charged with animal cruelty.

Omg. Please don't give your dog over the counter meds and other shit to end their lives. This is really cruel and irresponsible.

Three cats and like two or three bunnies (lost count) I've seen (nearly) peacefully go that way. (One had its eyes open and was moving around a bit but nothing dramatic)

Damn, lucky bastards.

I wish I was my moms cat instead of child... but I get to use N either way.
