I'm not sure, I find that people on Quora write a lot of weird «bs» in my opinion, usually not answering questions truthfully or accurately, but that's just been my overall experience whenever I click on a question thread on there. Like how would this person even know this if they have never shot themselves in the head?

Leaving not grieving

Sounds like total bullshit. People who live after traumatic injury don't typically recall feeling anything, just waking up in a hospital. Obv they feel it then though. After watching the Ronnie Mcnutt fb live vid, I'd say you're here, then you're gone.
This person is attempting to strike fear into those considering. They have zero way of knowing what they said.
It's just a messy way to go.

Yeah, I'm going to make the inference that the quora answer is incorrect or formulated to scare someone out of ctb.

I agree with "my-end" 100%. I seriously doubt you feel anything...it's just a messy way to go. I was gonna use this method but put the shotgun in my mouth instead. An extremely ugly way to exit my but I personally felt like it vindicated itself and brought closure to me on a deeper level because I was able to leave a meaage about how my life had been. Personally, I envy you being able to have access and use the method I desire...

Unless he asked someone who blew their brain how it was - there is no way he'd know anything. Also: "student of firearms laws across the USA", wow, talk about qualifications. Don't be so gullible. Shotgun to the head is rated by experts as the least agonizing method, only slightly below explosives and OD. https://web.archive.org/web/20081006183202/http://ashbusstop.org/lta_calc.html

Sounds like a lie to try to convince someone not to CTB.

I wouldn't trust quora for ctb questions frankly. Either they don't answer the question or exaggerate it to attempt to fear monger you into not doing it.

It's certainly made-up bullshit. But also, given the muzzle velocity of modern firearms is way faster than the speed of the signals along your neural pathways, it's doubtful that you'd feel anything at all.
