Pentobarbital is pentobarbital :). Same chemical as powder N used in euthanasia establishments. Vet N is more reliable than powder N you can get anywhere. Because it is medical use N and you can be sure of its purity. If you have powder N on hand, you have to have it analyzed in a laboratory for purity.

As l watched the vet push the syringe half full of the pink liquid into my dog's vein last Thursday afternoon l wanted so much for her to turn her back so l could snatch the bottle of liquid off the table top so l could use it on myself when l got back home and follow my dog over the bridge!

@Red Scare l'm so sorry for your losses, The cruelty of life eh? Our loved one's are taken from us and we're left behind to pick up the pieces and smile falsely at people when they ask us if we're ok ?

As long as its chemical structure is not compromised, it does not matter whether it is for humans/animals. A molecule does not care which path has been taken to be what it is.
