What ways can partial hanging be unsuccessful? Have there been reported instances of someone ending up comatose or disabled from partial suspension? I'm curious why some of the experts here warn people away from the method. I'd love if something like SN could work for me but my digestive system doesn't work that well so I'm not sure if it would be absorbed

an unsuccessful partial hanging can result in permanent problems.
I don't want to scare you, after all, this is my preferred method after CO2.
understand that if you research more about this method, in the posts about partial hanging and know types of ropes, knots, etc., you will have a great chance of it working out in the best possible way.Reality comes with time, train, do it, I found the carotid arteries, just don't do CTB before you're sure.
just research this method better, good luck friend!!

I tried it a couple months ago. Obviously didn't work for me. From what I gather it might have been due to the climbing rope I used.
I just hung there. I reached the point of almost losing consciousness, then just hung there and hung there. It wasn't overly painful, at least.

It's not bad, it's just significantly harder to pull off and generally it's better to just do a full suspension.

It isn't too hard to set up~ However, I and probably half the site has attempted it or another and obviously failed~ Basically, it has an extremely low reliability~ However, it has the same issue as full suspension hanging in that if you are "saved" within 30 minutes, you could end brain dead, paralyzed, etc.~ Additionally, you could break the support or the thing you used to hang yourself if they're not strong enough, possibly also causing damage to you if you were already unconscious by that point~ SN is much safer generally~

Its not bad inherently obviously it can be bad if you make it that way. If you research a bit you might get a good understanding of how to do it. Reliability is less than full but overall very high. Reliability in any method is tied to competence of execution anyway but overall partial hanging is reliable and pain-free if not outright euphoric if done wisely.
The forum isnt a good representation of it. Its kinda like asking people who are waiting in the line of the car repair shop of how reliable cars are.

I don't think partial is bad, it's just more difficult to pull off than full suspension.

It's my method of choice, it will have to fail many times before I switch to full suspension.
