• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Just out of curiosity as the subject line says. It seems like all the bridges have barriers or nets to prevent any compulsive attempts. Is this true? I am talking about the ones strictly where pedestrians and cyclists are allowed to cross.

The famous bridges, like: the Golden Gate Bridge have nets, tall barricades, and pedestrian traffic to stop you, It's going to be difficult, but possible. Or…
As long as you avoid popular bridge landmarks where Anti-jumper technologies are placed you should be okay to Jump from any bridge in the U.S.A.

Take my Information with a grain of salt though

Are bridge suicides so common in the USA? I'd think that if 500 people of the 330 000 000 Americans dies, no one would blink an eye. How stupid how America can afford to stop bridge suicides at any cost but can't afford free meds, houses for homeless or college.

I think you could go to google maps and try to find a good bridge.

I love this comment because it's so true! Our government doesn't focus on the issues that actually matter, doesn't address the root problems, they just spend tax dollars on "bandaids" and then act like they've accomplished something so great. Give me a break….

Every time I hear the word homeless I remember the first time I heard that the USA's military budget is in the trillions. There's no war! And America is "on island"! Only Canadians and Mexicans could attack (why would anyone attack by air or sea unless it's in the middle of the war), and I'm sure neither of them would ever attack. They could just pause the whole military for a year and built a new house for every American.

Because... capitalism. I'm told the right to make money, even at the expense of others' survival, is a chief priority. And I'm often reminded that "you have no right to" housing/health care...insert-other-survival-requirement-here.

I hate capitalism. I hate how it comes at the expense of others. Let's say my friend needs help with their fence. I'd love to help them, but capitalism says "You must ask money from your friend in exchange for your help otherwise you will starve!". I want to do things because I enjoy them, not because of money! I loved doing art but after people started telling me that I shouldn't do art for free, I lost my passion to do art. I feel money is very immoral and wrong.

I believe everyone has a innate born right to a good life. Your quality of life shouldn't depend on your income.

Why couldn't I have met people like you earlier in my life? :-)

unfortunately it's getting worse! The government and rich just want more and more with each passing year. They don't give a rats ass about you, we're getting backed into a corner of a life where the only purpose you have is to work for them just to survive. It's disgusting!

I think you are right. I honestly don't see how it is possible. I think they even have 20 feet nets extending in front(width) and a height of 20 feet. If one were to jump, I have heard that they nets are designed to leave them crippled for life.

Another like-minded person I wish I'd been able to build community with before everything went irretrievably south. @bennay_jr always glad to read your posts. :)
