Hello folks. Today I wanted to ask about related information when it comes to insecurity, how do you people deal with the intense feeling of dread when you face something that makes your heart and stomach drop?

In my case, everytime my partner, family or friends makes me feel insecure (innocently), I really just wanna end it all, maybe it may be just an impulse and I'm being dramatic but the dread feeling in my stomach hurts me awfully bad at the point of just wanting to grab a rope and hanging myself.

Hello. I'm sorry, could you possibly give examples to better understand?

It's very confusing if you don't have BPD!

One of the main symptoms of BPD is actually idealization; you fall in love with someone or you become really close to them (friends, family) and your brain creates this "version" of them in your head, in the moment they do something out of your "idea" of them, you feel very insecure, you go through this dread feeling I mentioned.

One example may be if you're in love with them and they do something that may trigger you as innocent as it could be and you start feeling very low, very insecure and basically, for me it's so strong that I just wanna end it all sometimes.

This sounds like what I have :( I haven't been diagnosed but I'm pretty sure I have it (BPD) :(

I'm sorry you're living with that. 💔

It's a pretty often symptom, very persist and annoying, it always destroys every relationship, unfortunately.

Usually I just shut down for a couple hours lol, self isolation to avoid a split is how I've always done it. Although my relationships never last, so maybe not the best advice, but telling your partner this in advance before a streak of isolation would help.

It's my way to go, however, sometimes I need at least 3 days to regulate properly which is awful for my girlfriend and she called me out for it but it's very hard for me to regulate under pressure to fit in her expectations.

It depends on the day, but usually I wear myself out by screaming and wanting to hurt them mentally to relax myself in a couple hours, and maybe having a sit down and explaining your emotions more with your girlfriend might help? If you've already had one then she just needs to understand that BPD is rough.

I think one of the most unfair things is the fact that she also has bpd but she doesn't go through this, so she's unable to understand this.

Sorry to hear that, mutual bpd relationships are incredibly tough. I had one in the past, he was just super avoidant and we weren't healthy for eachother. Oddly my longest relationship though. I pray for you both !

We're also about to draw the line but thanks for the good wishes! We all deserve to heal after this. 💕
