Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

As a layperson, I'm pretty sure genetic dispositions to mental illness and addiction in many cases kind of run together. I most definitely inherited my disposition to anxiety and depression. That came from my mother's side. I also, along with my prescribed meds , use alcohol (beer) to self-medicate. After my paternal grandmother died, my grandfather, I'm told, spent his days emptying whiskey bottles until he was placed in a nursing home where he died after a year or so.
Please don't give up simply because of addiction. Not trying to minimize what you're going through, I'm an addict myself and it sucks. But there are tons of resources out there if you really want to beat substances and keep living.
