In Illinois I cant get a gun until I'm 21 instead of 18. Am I just fucked?

Title. I'm 18 and live in Illinois, and I can't get a gun here until I'm 21 where in most other states I'd be able to now. Am I just fucked? I don't want to be here another 3 years.
