I don't really know what to say, but I've made the decision to log out permanently. I've been met with kindness, but that kindness doesn't outweigh the impact to my mental well being. I fully admit I put myself into this position and I'm not accusing anyone of any wrongdoing. I just have a bit of a savior complex and I want to help every person, even if it's not what they want.
Thank you so much for all of the advice, encouragement and support. I truly do appreciate every person I've met.
I wish I didn't have to keep my involvement with the friends I've made here, a secret.
