Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I feel that I can't change anything, there are only problems and stress in my life, I don't have the courage to even kill myself. I'm going to tell him about the two suicide attempts and the general negative state in which I live. I hope to get treatment, whether it's medication or mental hospital, it doesn't matter. I'm tired of suffering and I'm looking for any way to alleviate my condition.

The news will be on Thursday. Thoughts are welcome. Good luck to everyone

going into a mental hospital was the worst thing, according to a friend. you'd be surrounded by others in such a state, don't know might get traumatised. it's a whole ordeal to deal with coming out of the experience. your mileage may vary, but i'd think many times before putting myself in there voluntarily.

work with the psychiatrist as an outpatient.. and get a psychologist. Talk therapy works at the root rather than the symptom-relief focus of meds.

Before you talk to a psychiatrist. Do you have an idea why you're feeling the way you feel? What are the stress factors? What is causing you the problems?

Unless these problems and stress factors cannot be eliminated neither therapy nor meds will be able to solve the issues. That's my personal opinion.

Whatever you decide to do I wish you all the best and I hope you find a way to recover

Rock on bud, good for you

A lot of the more immediately unbearable feelings, sensations, and thought-feelings (I think in Spanish they have a word called "Sentirpensar" for what I mean here) can be treated with medication, provided that you are able to find a psychiatrist who is willing to work diligently and patiently with you. My super heady and philosophical existential anxiety that I thought would never go away diminished dramatically after starting escitalopram, for instance. There's also a lot of new and very promising treatments in the pipeline like ketamine and psychedelic therapy that might end up working after you try a couple antidepressants, plus different modalities of talk therapy, EMDR etc can really help with either getting to the developmental root of your problems or developing healthy coping skills

You or they might be tempted to transfer you to inpatient care, and maybe that's appropriate but it's usually a lot of stress and humiliation for a frankly pretty low standard of care. Easy to avoid, just avoid saying that you have a concrete plan you want to follow through shortly. Being open about your past attempts and even the most extreme and constant /passive/ ideation isn't going to get you locked up.

If you want actual intensive care, ask about any IOP or PHP programs they might be able to recommend. I'm entering one myself in a couple weeks, should be 3-5 days a week of a couple hours of group and individual therapy with wrap-around treatment for psychiatry and potentially primary care and peer support for things like finding a decent job and whatever else.

Hope this shit goes good for you, the exit's always there but somewhere else there is also love and meaning to be found if you're lucky and spend enough time being open to it
