• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

    Donate via cryptocurrency:

it's not nice having people call you cynical simply bc you've been thru so much shit that naturally you can't help but develop that view on the world.
not my fault.
i've been lied to and scammed etc etc.
at this point it would be irresponsible and naive to not be cynical.
but people look at you like an asshole for that.
for something that was done ONTO you by others.
victim shaming.

if i had died 15 years ago, there's many nice things i would have missed in the future,
but even more bad things than nice things, tho.

yet another very rational reasoning for suicide.
i'd prefer to be remembered as the best version of myself, not the one with a heavy heart.

I sometimes think that folk don't know the difference between bitter cynicism and sensible, healthy scepticism. Life makes you much more realistic about peoples' intentions and dependability; to me that's just an absence of naivety and being realistic, not cynical.

exactly yes. humans have an extremist problem. it's always from one extreme to the other, lacking ability to see nuances

I agree. I too have become unhealthily cynical. I look at everything with extreme skepticism. It has to do with being cheated a few times, being scammed. I lost some money to friends, etc.I do know, not everyone should be viewed with the same lens. But I can't help it.
