I'm extremely scared that my friend is going to CBT soon, they've expressed all day the want to kill themself and they have the means to do it as soon as they get home, it genuinely terrifies me. Not even four months ago my Fiancè died to suicide, I genuinely cannot cope with another loss like this. It makes me feel absolutely sick, to my stomach, like losing my him all over again. If they succeed I'm immediately killing myself, I cannot do this

None of us are going to be free until we're gone. The world has entered purgatory. Can't blame anyone for wanting to leave.

I'm very sorry for your previous loss. I understand what it's like to lose someone in this manner and how deeply it cuts. I wish I had better words, I just hope you are able to be at peace from the pain one day.

Talk to them, make sure they're okay, just ask them to unload their true feelings into words and hopefully that gives them enough relief to not ctb

I'm very sorry that you lost your fiancé. Losing your partner is terrible pain, and suicide as a form of death makes it even more difficult.

I would tell your friend exactly what you wrote to us here. Show it how afraid you are, how attached you are to it, what it does to you. Also try to organize help for him and help him specifically. Sometimes you find yourself in such a tunnel that you can't make it alone. Everything else is out of your control. Are they thoughts of suicide that have existed for a long time or are they more acute?

I'm very sorry for you, it's difficult, but when you've lost a loved one and are also struggling with suicidal thoughts yourself, it's very difficult.
