Help I need some info/reassurance about something

This might be a really stupid question but the only thing stopping me from my goal at the moment is being anxious about getting caught while trying to get to the top of the building so ig I need some reassurance.

So I would like to ctb by jumping off a building. It's a factory that's around 10 stories high and the building has a ladder leading up to the very top which to me seems great because it's an easy way to reach it and then jump but there's a fence around it and like an entrance to the fence that is guarded by a person.

There's a place where I could easily just step over the fence and it's near the ladder too which is great but I'm scared of getting caught and getting in trouble (I seem to have like an irrational fear of getting in trouble/upsetting people and yes I fear that more than death idk just bear with me). Also I've been to that place until like 2 am in the morning and the lights were still on at the entrance so I'm guessing it's always being guarded.

Do you think it would be a big deal if someone saw me there? It's a small city so there probably won't be too many people around, especially if I go late at night and like I think I could probably just climb it quickly and then jump before anyone tries anything even if I get spotted but again I'm a bit scared of that and idk if there are alarms or anything like that. Also if I do get seen, do you think I could just ignore it and keep climbing and then jump? Again I'm sorry if this is a dumb post I just know that I'd get scared and freeze up but realistically idk if anyone could even stop me in time if they saw me going up.

Also I'm guessing that the best time to do it would be late at night (like 2-4 in the morning) when there will be the least people around but if anyone thinks otherwise or has any other tips I'd appreciate it greatly.

I would highly advise against it. There's a good chance you're not able to follow through, either because of SI or because of some technicality.And when you get caught, there's a good chance that they'll think you're up to no good. So you could get into a difficult situation.


I've been in this exact position too. I'll explain. The building I work in has the top most floor connecting to the terrace of the building. However, the topmost floor is empty. There is no one working there. For a long time I wanted to jump off this building, so one time when I took the elevator to the topmost floor to try and access the terrace, there was a security guard walking up and down this particular floor. He saw me, was really surprised, zoned in on me and came rushing towards me. I just ignored him, acted like I got off on the wrong floor and got back in the elevator. Never went there again.

Is the Guard not present there at night?

I think so but the ladder and the side where I could get over the fence are behind the entrance where the guard should be so I should be able to get there without being spotted unless there's like multiple points from where it's being supervised. Also I'm not sure if the ladder is somehow made inaccessible or if it can always be accessed, I'd have to go back to that place and check it out again because it's been a while since I've been there

Yeah I'm really scared about being caught because I'd hate having to explain myself to anyone, especially my family who would get pissed at me but also I would lose the courage to go there again but then idk which other method to use.
