Venting i just want my cat back :(

my cat passed away 4/19, 2 days before my birthday. liver cancer. he was healthy one day, his eyes full of life and love, and then the next he was just done. after we picked up his ashes i held him for a while while i cried, and i think that's kind of when i knew that i was done too. i see him sometimes, just watching, following like he used to. i need him back :(
oh yeah, and my birthday ended up being terrible anyways. no one wanted to do shit with me, a lot of plans were cancelled. i didn't get the only gift i asked for, that i was promised i would be given. i hate this. i'm so selfish.

i can relate to you, He looks a bit like my cat who died last December. I have been suicidal for like 6 years he was the only reason I was willing to live for and now he's gone. He used to look at me with so much love no matter how fucked up I am, I could see the love in those eyes. literally all my problems would go away when he was around me. I was disgusted by myself like I was such a disgusting creature a fucking pos how can i be loved, how can someone love a fucking worthless pos like me, but that cat did he helped me with my social anxiety my self hate without saying anything. When he died I was done there too. I'm great full that I found sasu, my sn will arrive soon And now I'll go there too and finally leave this chain of suffering.

Yes, cats are such special creatures. I am very sorry for your loss. I don't even know how many cats I've lost over the years now. Mostly because I always have so many (right now I have 6 inside cats and 3 feral outside cats -- that I know of -- that I feed and am trying to tame).

I love them all. Yes, even the ones who are gone. That love never goes away for me. Same with all my pets. It confuses me sometimes why I don't feel that same ache when I lose a human. Things I wonder about from time to time.
