• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

if humans are born to live but are all going to die, then what's the point of trying to live?

Until recently the best answer the vast majority of people could give was some BS about "god"

I can't say, personally. Some people value religion, altruism, relationships, or the earth itself as reasons to want to live.
I often find myself asking the same question, and also the reverse of your question, too - 'if there's no point to life, why am I in a hurry to die?'

I don't really have an answer to either.

That's something I've always question, no matter what we do or how hard we try the result is the same dying so I think that is a good thought to calm ourselves whenever we're really ready to ctb.

To make the world a better place for future generations - that's my go to answer. There's really no set reason why anything exists, we don't know why we are here, why other animals are here, why planets are here, why the universe exists, why anything exists basically.

The way I see it, there is no point to living. Life is just a pointless experience that we go through for the sake of it, we are only here because people decided to selfishly procreate. All that humans are doing is waiting around for death, which is inevitable for us all. Life is completely unnecessary and I believe that life should not be a thing in the first place. Life is horrifying because of the extreme amount of suffering. I am only still here because ctb is so difficult. Everyday I think about how pointless this all is. I long to escape a future filled with misery. In this life, nothing really matters. Things may appear to matter to us in the short term, but all our problems will die with us. Anyone who believes that life has any meaning must be delusional.
