I haven't got a befriender

About 2 years ago, I was supposed to get a befriender who would e-mail me. The day before she was supposed to e-mail me for the 1st time, I was told, by e-mail, they couldn't provide me with the befriending service because they didn't have the necessary resources.

What resources? All they need is a computer and internet access!

Anyway, now it's happened again! I got in touch with another organisation that does befrienders. Someone was going to phone me for 50 minutes once a week. The day before she was supposed to phone me for the 1st time, I got an e-mail saying the befriender was no longer available!

What do I need to do to get any help or support in this cruel, insensitive, uncaring world!!?

is a befriender thing something just in Scotland I have never heard of it in the Uk, but what a shitty service! How can they not have the resources that makes no sense!

That is terrible. I can imagine that it must be frustrating and disappointing being in that situation. You are right that the world is cruel and uncaring and it is a very unfair life. I hope that you are able to find what you are looking for.
