Venting I HATE HOW DRUGS ARE ILLEGAL

Pro lifers made it illegal aside from weed in some parts of thr US BUT ITS STILL FEDERALLY ILLEGAL!! I just wished drugs like weed, LSD and shrooms were federally legal because I have MEPS soon so all I can do is alcohol.

Its almost as if pro lifers dont want us to be happy, they want us to stay suffering with their boomer "drug" alcohol

I'm saying this as a Californian but is weed not state legal in most of the U.S.? It may be federally illegal but don't most states at this point allow the sale of marijuana?

Also shrooms are legal in some states if you ever wanted to move

What does being pro-life have to do with drugs illegal? Also, I'm pretty sure that shrooms are easy to get your hands on depending on where you live in the US. They are mushrooms after all. You either grow your own or go out and pick some (though, you'd obviously need to be careful if you were to do that). My bf is American and he has talked about how he and his cousin used to go outside to pick them when they were younger.

I'm pretty sure US is at least one of the best place to get drugs, being illegal doesn't really matter from what I've heard. You can order everything off dark net if you know how to do it, is what I heard from several friends and many forums/imageboards.

It is much worse in east asia. In Japan these laws are strictly enforced, even getting things like cannabis is impossible even if you're willing to violate the laws.
Even If I do get them, The passionate Japanese DEA will caught me and put me into jail for several years and doesn't provide me any supports after getting out of jails, I will never get a job because of criminal records.
That is on top of Strong stigmatization, I cannot even talk about it. People would get scared when I mention that I use DXM in cough medicine for self-medication.
They hate people who does drug at all for being weak willed and evil enough to decide themselves to rely on drugs. While being absolutely ignorant about everything.

Pro-lifer stuffs also doesn't make sense to me, I think it's some part of "Us vs Them" two sided sort of things I see when people talks about US politics.

FUUUCK, hate it too. It would prolong my life. Just some drug if could be decriminalized. Like prescription drugs or some drugs not worse than alcohol and tobacco. Today's society is not better than 100 years ago. You go to prison for 1-5 years for ordering abroad. TO PRISON !!! for personal use. And I really need them for my suffering. Alcohol makes me depressed and nauseus.

I tend to side with this. Humans can't be trusted to keep to their limits with things like alcohol. I wonder how many driving accidents, fights, domestic abuse are carried out while people are intoxicated.

I am very pro- choice in principle but sadly- some people make selfish choices that get other people killed. It's pretty hard to regulate it so those who want to consume only do so to put themselves at risk.

I'm not actually sure if even prescriptions would work there. Someone drinking all their alcohol units for a week say in a single sitting would be (very) over the limit. So- unless they were only given a very small amount at a time, I doubt it would work. People would likely hoard it too. Or, sell on black markets.

Maybe a car that senses you're dunk and turfs you out. An ejector seat. Lol.

I find it curious that some drugs are illegal, while others aren't. I reckon it's because our governments get a lot of money from the tobacco/nicotine and alchohol industries. Plus- maybe they kill slower and people can remain moderately functional on them as opposed to something like heroin. I bet it all comes down to money ultimately. I imagine sugar is as harmful too.

Making them illegal though- I find it unlikely they would disappear. Many places struggle with a drug epidemic but there are still more people who likely wouldn't risk taking drugs I would think. I just think so many are reliant on tobacco/nicotine and alcohol- I doubt they'd just stop.

People in power are biased, they like alcohol so they want to keep it. Same goes for tobacco. What we need is an AI that knows what is best for us, as we clearly don't.
