i think there is things that science can't explain i think we are energy and when we die where are go to somewhere i dont think that we just stop existing forever something will happen but we dont know that is what i want to believe until i CTB and if nothing happens then the meaning of this existence is a joke
I don't know if this makes sense or not. But I kind of feel as though the indestructible energy that animates us simply dissolves into the atmosphere/universe when a person (or animal) dies.
Think of pouring a glass of fresh water into the ocean. As soon as it hits the ocean, the fresh water molecules contained in the glass immediately disperse and dilute with the ocean water so that there is no way to recapture those fresh water molecules even if you quickly tried to scoop up some water where the fresh water fell. You might get some of it, but never all of it. It will be mixed with ocean water and not fresh water. (I use fresh and saltwater to differentiate between the 2 to make the analogy more clear).
As such, energy doesn't have memory and/or consciousness any more than a molecule of water has. The water molecule(s) will not remember being fresh water in a glass any more than our energy will remember what we did in life. Just my 2 cents for the day.

I believe that death is not the end of us but I also think there is nothing after death. It is complicated. it is due to my religious brainwashed upbringing.

Us being energy is one thing, being sentient energy is completely another. You feel sentient while sleeping (not dreaming)? There is your logical answer to the question about afterlife. It's just like going to sleep, for good.

I don't. To each their own. I wish there was an afterlife and that I got to go to my favourite fictional universe and marry the character I've been in love with for years, but alas.
I really hope there is no afterlife, I want and believe there is non existence. I see death as being freedom from all suffering. I think that when we lose consciousness that is it for us, we are gone. The thought of there being nothing after this is comforting.

I agree. Non-existence is just fine, you won't even realize that you died, you won't remember that you ever existed and everything that once made sense to lose it
As a blackpilled truecel I sincerely hope the afterlife is whatever I want it to be, a personal haven from this shit world. I can make it a great experience, where all my hopes and dreams come true and I'm not some eternally lonely loser. Like how people look towards lucid dreaming or virtual reality for living in their own dream worlds, but the afterlife is much more powerful, encompassing version of that.
