It would not be advisable to use either. Before and shortly after you pass out, your body will inevitably struggle to free itself from its predicament. This has happened to me and caused the failure of an attempt. Make sure both your rope and your anchor can support 2-3x your body weight. There are many household items (electrical wire etc.) and anchors that can do this. Your two examples cannot. I'd also practice until you get dizzy before carrying out the attempt a couple of times, to ensure you can carry out the attempt without chickening out or getting scared.Similar threads
