How to prepare for ctb?

Any tips for how to prepare oneself mentally and physically so as to maximise the chance of success?

I am planning on jumping off Beachy Head.

Is that not the case?

As for preparing yourself: Alcohol is a great lubricant.

Edit: You could always role play a few times, to desensitise yourself to the act (battling SI.)

In my opinion you have to be mentalized about it, not feel pressured by the situation you are in but by choice.
Also having your own affairs arranged (debts, destination of your heritage, farewell letter, delete/throw documents or objects that you do not want to record...). Years ago I had thought of either stamping myself with the car or jumping, I visited the area where I had planned to do it and I visualized myself doing it; doing so calmed me down.

Roleplaying my suicide is something I do a lot. I've found that it makes the thought of doing it much more natural and even makes me look forward to it. There was a point when jumping wouldn't be something I'd do, but if I had a ctb partner who would hold my hand all the way down, it wouldn't be so bad.

We could make a day of it, then when the time is right, take that step beyond and onto the next phase of our journeys (afterlife: I strongly believe in reincarnation.)
