How to plan funeral...

I asked someone I know if she would talk to me about my funeral/dying. I knew it was a big ask and she hasn't replied.

I wanted to talk to someone who knows me, and who knows my family a bit. So I can try and think things through.

I did also try calling a funeral planner, but they called the police on me.

I guess do I need a therapist that does 'death planning' for terminal illness? For me, depression is a terminal illness, it just doesn't have the decency to kill me.

Your therapist should be able to help with that. My cpn is always telling me to take out a will, I wonder what she's planning...

I don't have a therapist. It was a waste of money and my last one was nasty. He was nice until the last session when he knew I wasn't going to pay him anymore and all his veneer of 'compassion focussed therapy'(£120 an hour) dropped. He totally broke my trust and I hate him.

Exactly. I don't know who I can talk to, or maybe I should just not care about it. Even if someone would talk to me, they'd be legally implicated

It's a difficult one. I don't know where you're from but in the UK you could go to the citizens advice bureau. Do you have anything like they where you come from?

There's pretty good with that kind of thing they will usually write letters for you and stuff. Make sure any will you make is legal and witnessed or they will ignore it. They did this with my uncle.

My estate is virtually destitute. My planned funeral is to simply donate my remains to medical science and my will states that clearly. No cost or worry to anyone involved.

Just pretend to be a customer for someone who isn't very well and make notes of the stuff you go through / pick and the prices?
