so i'm in singapore and jumping off a tall building seems to be the most accessible way to ctb. i've found a spot on the 45th floor that's a straight fall onto hard concrete, but i think my SI won't let me jump. what can i do to overcome it? i know for sure that ctb is my only way forward. (which is why the SI is frustrating)

I agree with the get drunk thing. Drink so much you don't even have coordination and just stand on the edge. That's what I'm trying to will myself to do if I am not able to purchase a gun

The thing is. It's like a railing that I've to climb and then jump. So it's going to take some level of coordination to actually carry out I guess… So maybe the getting drunk thing will backfire a bit

sure. i mean it's this 47 something floor residential building with a rooftop garden. the staircase on the 45th floor (and all other floors i'm guessing) has a railing, and if you climb the railing and jump, it's a jump straight onto concrete. the railing seems pretty climb-able and not too tall

are you in Singapore?

Maybe take something to help calm your nerves beforehand? Xanax? Valium?

The thing with Singapore is, none of these substances are available here :') Only available with a diagnosis I think, and I don't have one

Well I'm in the USA and there are plenty of websites that you can virtually meet with the nurse practitioner and they will prescribe Xanax for you. That's what I've been doing. There are many services like this available online I don't know if it's available for you in Singapore however. 1026

Ooooooh… may I ask what you suggest telling them in order to get such a prescription?

You never will, SI will always be there no matter what. Being severely drunk will help but you will always be scared

Are you working with a fear of heights?

My first method is jumping as well, and I've been researching cases surrounding it. SI is definitely present and an issue, but my greatest concern is the possibility of survival with severe injuries/the possible lack of effectiveness. Your example seems fairly effective. Unfortunately I don't have access to buildings like this in my area.

I mean otherwise I don't really have a fear of heights normally ..? but something about jumping from 45 stories is terrifying lmao. i get your concern- one of my concerns is if it'll be instantaneous or not/ how much pain i'll have to go through for how long on impact

You probably know this but don't give your exact spot, people will call authorities on you from here. Not posters but lurkers.

Jumping is a very difficult, unplesant way to go. Signapore has a reputation for being a bit strict, but do you have any other options to CTB?

I'm practically the same as you. I've even practiced jumping many times over, it's not the height that's the issue.

I think the pain/effectiveness depends on terminal velocity. I'm trying to figure out how this can be applied as seen in other cases; once I know for sure, I'll update you. I'm also compiling my research to post here, hopefully soon :)

thank you :) there's a thread on jumping also here iirc, highlights the possible ways/reasons one dies by jumping.
when i look down from the 45th floor, it def is terrifying though. how did you practice jumping if you don't mind me asking?

I'll be sure to look at that, I appreciate it :)

Yeah, I can't imagine looking down from that high up. The greatest height I've looked down on is perhaps 30 feet. As for practicing, I'm able to do so by climbing onto the roof of my house from my bedroom window. The jump isn't very extreme, and below is grassy, so I don't sustain injury.

I am also considering trying out skydiving to see how I feel with more extreme heights/that feeling of falling.

I see! Skydiving sounds fun. I've paragliding, and that's pretty chill. Doesn't even feel like falling (I mean I guess that's why it's called para GLIDING lmao)

I really hope this works. I hit my weed pen times while sitting on the ledge the other night, did not work :(

I assume probably getting heavily inebriated, either by alcohol or some other substance. Jumping will probably be my method, I've tried the night-night method but I can't seem to do it properly. I'm honestly more concerned about finding a place to jump from. Looking at bridges near me. One is the ideal height but the city installed steel rod barriers to prevent jumpers.

I've considered jumping out of a plane with no parachute as a means of CTB, but I don't know where I'd even get access to a plane. I'd have to sign up for some skydiving experience and then I'd probably have to like, take my parachute off and jump out of the plane before getting caught.

that would be a painfully long way to die though… wouldn't it just be better to jump off a tall building

I've been trying to CTB for about two years now.

I have perfected a method that will get me to a location at least 160 feet above ground on a balcony with a fall straight onto concrete provided that I make a small leap from the railing. I hit my weed pen like 7 times to overcome SI but diddnt work. The time before that I used lorazepam but that diddnt work either as I just fell asleep.

The next time I can access that location is in 3-4 weeks, i think alcohol is the next move for me.

Thoughts?
Basically anything that makes me go unconscious even for a second so I can fall backwards. Helium?

makes sense… just that for me, i have to climb a railing to go to the other side and i don't think there's space on the other side to stand as such.. so i guess i've to be relatively sober to do it

I'm from Singapore too! For the longest time (around a year) have been considering CTB by jumping. Problem is how sitting on a really tall ledge just makes me tachycardic and feel horrible. Been trying to practice overcoming the SI but I still havent even been able to actually get to the point where I'm about to jump.

Honestly also very worried about traumatising people on the ground 😞. I don't want to pass on my trauma or sadness to a kid who just happened to walk by and witness my death. Any viable locations I've found (25 stories++) are public spaces... How's your location that you found? Is it somewhere relatively more private?

oh nice, hello fellow Singapore resident! yeah i understand that.. i mean the location i found in itself is a bit public but the place where i suppose id land if i fall is relatively isolated if that makes sense. can share the location on pm (someone recommended me to not say the location on public threads)
