• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hey I need help overcoming my survival instincts. I already have the method I want to CTB with, I was about to do it but instincts took over and I froze before being able to do anything. I know I probably can't get rid of the survival instincts entirely, but do you have any advice on how to overcome it enough to finally be done with this? Any advice is appreciated, however I'd prefer no drugs involved for the sake of simplicity.

One strategy is to leave in a "fit of determination" like the Nike slogan of "just do it". This is probably done by entering a state of mania that's induced by pure emotion/adrenaline and just completing the act, leaving nothing to a second thought. Sitting and getting bogged down with the details and "what ifs" only leads to overthinking and inactivity.

In your last moments on this earth, you just have to let go.

its best to use a method that gets around those entirely. It's really hard to fully commit with knifes and such, but if you have a gun, or a similarly instant method, then you only need to pull the trigger.

That's what I am doing, I'm using a firearm. I so confidently loaded it and held it up to my head, but I froze when I was about to pull the trigger. I need to find a way to get around that.

I'm the engineering type, so my first thought is to strap a servo to the trigger. All you would need is a battery and a servo strong enough to push the trigger (20kg cm servo? Assuming trigger is 5lb and lever is 5cm?).

Though, personally, the anticipating would probably feel worse for me.

Maybe you could use strings? Loop it around the trigger and after a couple of loops just pull down. Though, you would need to secure the gun. Idk, feels like that would run into the same issue. But, I can't think of anything else, best of luck.

I'm going the firearm route (haven't purchased yet), but eventually I assume you just go for it.

I watched a 9/11 documentary recently and it showed the individuals who flung themselves from the windows of the 100th+ floors because the fire was swallowing their surroundings.

I imagined what courage and desperation it took to look out a 100th story window and decide to jump.

They had no other option but to do that or burn alive.

There is no other way than to do it.
