I've kinda given up on meeting new people IRL but last January I used apps such as tinder and met with a few girls. Not necessary for love purposes. Just to have some drinks. Nothing serious.
Anyway, fortunately, I've made some great friends here so, at least virtually, I have nice relationships.If you have a hobby, go to said hobby and create conversations;
Eg;
If you go gym, ask 'spot me bro?' Then build up convo
Or join fb groups, or meetup,com and find people in your area. Haven't done it personally but I guess having a legit profile, where you can openly see who's who, is much better in terms of saftey and whatnot

I got on some Reddit discords. It's how I pass the time now when I'm not posting or reading here. May start bar crawling in a few weeks once the second vaccine dose has finished kicking in.Similar threads
