Help How to avoid hospitalization for depression?

Simply do not tell them you are suicidal, homocidal, at risk of harming others or yourself. Passive or not, it does not matter to them because they see it all the same.

Does your Dr. know what makes you depressed? Can that (most likely external factor) be eliminated?

Idk how you can avoid it but unless it's a fixable problem a stay in the ward won't help much. Just my opinion.
