How safe is it to post pictures on here?

This might be a dumb question, but I don't know much about meta data. I tried partial hanging today but it was really uncomfortable and I didn't lose consciousness quick enough. I tried using a scarf to lessen the feeling but it didn't help. I wanna post a picture of my setup so I can get some advice on what I might be doing wrong, but I'm worried that someone could download my photo and get information out of it that could be used to have me thrown in a psych ward.

I'm not sure how this site is built but it should strip the exif data which I think is what can tell people where a picture was taken etc.
It's probably safe but if you want you can also manually remove it, there's lots of websites that let you do so.

I've seen people posting image before of their jars of SN or other drugs they were planning to use to CTB, I think it should be safe. Someone would have to go to great length to try and get such info out of an image, you'd have to be specifically targeted by some hackers or something, and even then I don't know if they could do anything with it, and I can't see why anyone would go to such length.

you can use "exiftool" on either linux or windows.. on android i guess there is "scrambled EXIF" on FDroid.. you can also search for like "EXIF remove metadata" and it might give you a few websites that might remove it for you if you upload the images to there..

you can gleen how much information you can get out of an image just by running like "exiftool whatever.jpg" and it will show you all the information some one can possibly get from the normal stats and also metadata.. As long as it doesn't have like GPS coordinates then you should be okay..

But also yeah, if this site is doing their job then it should automatically be stripped out any way (probably is), so hopefully you shouldn't even have to worry about removing it manually beforehand..

paranoid/lazy hack i just thought of: you could open the picture and then screenshot it on the computer and save that, and then it definitely wouldn't have any of the metadata from your camera/phone..

unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case.. but most of the metadata isn't that revealing anyway.

I personally don't think it's a good idea at all. People have been sectioned because of things they've posted on this site before.
