I'm not an expert but I've told that practice makes perfect. Even in order to hold your breath!
At first it'll be some seconds, then 1 minute, then 2 and so on!
I used to be able to hold my breath for almost 3 minutes and at first I couldn't resist more than 21 seconds lol

Nobody can hold their breath that long.
The world record is held by a freediver, and it's about 11 minutes.
