That sounds wrong to me I used to work in a tow company and seen cars hit by trains and if they can totally ruin a family sedan a person shouldn't stand a chance

People don't always get struck full-on, though. It's not my area of expertise, but apparently people try to throw themselves at the train, or lose their nerve and try to get away, lose their balance, get a foot stuck, try to grab something or other things that don't work out the way they planned them.

Please think of the drivers and passengers while doing this method. I've been involved in a fatal crash where the train hit someone who was commuting suicide by parking their car on the tracks. It killed 6 people and wounded many others. I implore you to think of other methods.

It's all about how you get struck, most get a glancing blow and are left with life altering injuries. There is a sure fire way but I think survival instinct would take over.
The London Underground used to have a policy not sure if they still do but if a driver has 3 suicides where they are driving they get to leave the job on full pay for the rest of their life.

You may want to take your own life but to jump in front of a train will have a massive impact on the person driving the train and countless others who may witness it. You have to hit it exactly right for it to be fatal. The chances are slim and you will probably end up with catastrophic, life changing injuries if you survive. Please think of the other people and not just yourself. You are in pain but this method in my opinion is probably the most damaging to others.
There are plenty of other non-messy methods that you totally control. Don't drag someone into this when you don't have to.

Honestly, if you're not competent enough to use google to find a railroad, you're not competent enough to carry out suicide by train. Not a good idea. Listen to people's responses here.

But in all seriousness...please don't use that method. It causes great harm to drivers and bystanders and while we have ever right to not continue a painful life, it's really unfair to damage someone else's more than is required to make that happen. Empathy isn't just for us.

If you just put your neck on the line, the train would be likely to just go straight over you (more through you hopefully) without doing any harm to the passengers wouldn't it? In fact I heard an advert on the radio once where they compared the sound of a train going by to the sound of a train going by and hitting someone, and it didn't sound any different. That would suggest that the train goes on pretty much undisturbed and kills you instantly wouldn't it?

Regarding trauma to the driver, if he knows the person was intentionally trying to get themselves killed and did so without a lot of suffering, what is there to be traumatized about? Killing a cat that didn't want to die would be more reason to be upset wouldn't it?
