maybeeersss, but ive heard that u like go into a state of numbness i guess?? but like thats just one experience out of the many. i kinda wanna do it bc its been rlly hard to secure sn, n, and other drugs rn and tbh i do not gawt the funds for that hahahah its the second most appealing method tp me as of rn

Generally, this is a non-method (a method that should not be attempted). In most cases, your SI will stop you. In movies they make it seem easy and painless, but it's actually very painful. The success rate for this method is very low.

Don't do this. It really doesn't work. (I don't recommend) the scars still hurt on me after I attempted that way.

I second this. The pain goes away after a while in my experience, however, your skin gets very very very sensitive where the scars are, and some small area around. Things that normally barely hurt, hurt tons in that area. Also it itches so bad sometimes.
Not to mention the stares you get from strangers when you go outside with short sleeves.....

18th of March last year I stabbed myself with the intention of dying. Unsurprisingly, this isn't a common method to ctb and I haven't seen much if anything written about it, so I thought I would make a post about my experience. TLDR: it's way harder to die this way than you think, and surviving...

Depends how deep you cut, however as I said before, your SI will stop you before you'll be able to cut deep enough.
Generally, it's a bad idea. Try searching for a different method ^^

so i mean... it could seem attractive to someone suicidal if they had the guts (no pun intented) to stab themselves.

Stabbing would be the last on my list of methods. I would even consider drowning before I'd consider that. It seems very difficult, very messy and I'm not very strong so it would be hard to accomplish. I can understand considering it if you have no options but this one has a huge potential to go wrong and be painful.

getting stabbed fatally and stabbing yourself fatally are very different. that "if" makes it sound more viable than it really is. you'd have to be in deep psychosis or something. there's a reason everyone on this thread is against it. SI is hardwired into all of us. even cutting your wrists as an attempt is much harder than it sounds based on what we see on the news and media. it's very different from self harming without suicidal intent.

to say it's a matter of guts is misunderstanding SI. it's not voluntary. you can be suicidal while also having very strong SI.

You're not gonna die for that. Even if this is attention seeking then there's less gorey ways to do it. Stabbing yourself could be fun seeing the blood and stuff but imo it'll be bad in the long run: ur gonna get sent to the psych ward after u heal and probably all potential to kill yourself in the future will be extremely limited or u'll be put on a list therefore more difficult for u to do anything like even order rope or something idk. ik you want to see people reply to your post because you want attention because you feel neglected the people around u, which is fine, but if you're gonna do it then don't mess it up for urself in the long-term. just think: if u survive, what will the next steps look like? if u don't survive then desired outcome achieve i guess lol

Make em deep, make em multiple and make em in vital areas such as the forehead, throat/neck, heart etc.

That being said, you'll most likely do 1 shallow stab, the jolt of pain will fuck up your thinking process and you'll just be laying there, bleeding. I think if you want to die being stabbed, go look for your local serial murderer or something cause unless you're real fucked in the head, the SI is gonna make damn sure you're not gonna reach the arteries. Or you could just not do it, whatever's easier. idk I can't really give any solid advice as I wanna die by stabbing too. Although chances are, your trusty kitchen knife probably isn't sharp enough, you'll probably have to go digging on the black market for something suitable, and that seems like a hassle y'know...

i didnt mean for it to be attention seeking. a shit ton of people are also asking for help on hereim just inept w the method. i guess its on me bc i didnt research before hand, but we all just wanna die here dont we? even as i do feel neglected by the people around me, i wouldnt go looking for attention thru asking for help on an online suicide platform. thank you for your insight tho i just thought it was pretty hurtful for you to assume that of me
