How do I get a gun in a state that doesn't want me to have one?

I tried hanging 2 years ago and failed (scary and unpleasant way to CTB). I'm pretty sure the only way I will actually be able to follow through is a round to the head. Problem is, I live in a U.S. state where guns are impossible to get without a specific ID. I'd rather not suffer through another six more months of life; is there a faster way to get a gun than through the state?

Go to a red state

Although if you go to the pleasant red states like the ones out west (not the south) you might not want to CTB at all. Escaping the soul crushing crime ridden overpriced blue American cities for greener pastures can put people at ease

Unless you happen to know some criminals and can buy one from them, going to another state is likely the only way. Or.. if you are not in a hurry, you could join one of the various gun discussion forums and possibly do a private buy from someone that lives near you -- but those folks won't trust you enough to sell to you until you have been an active member of their discussion group for many months.
