I'm considering jumping as my method as it's really the only one I have accessible. But I have the issue of not having anywhere 'high enough'. There is a bridge that is 28m over water that's about 4m deep.

I've been reading and since the bridge was built in 1977 there have been over 200 deaths recorded at this bridge, but there is no data I can find on how many have jumped and survived.

I would imagine even if I were to survive the initial impact, drowning is very likely to follow.

So my question is, given the risk of survival, how would you feel about taking the leap? I do have some health issues which I feel would impact the likelihood for survival, my hemoglobin is very low, but I'm not a doctor haha

Honestly I wouldn't do it. 28m over water is not enough to be sure you will die. And if you do survive you will probably have permanent injuries. And I wouldn't be so sure, if you actually lose consciousness, as there were people jumping from far higher who didn't lose consciousness when entering the water. Try to find something higher or find another method altogether.

I'm really out of options at this point

If I ever felt the need to CTB this kind of thing would scare me. No matter what method I chose there would be either a risk of suffering before death or being seriously hurt or disabled as a result of my attempt. I came on this forum to research methods if I ever needed to CTB. I was disappointed the learn that there no guaranteed, fool-proof, pain free method.

It's very painful to realise it's not as straight forward as swallowing a bunch of pills and going to sleep:(

I need to preface what I'm about to say. My wish is that nobody on this forum chooses to CTB and that whatever horrible life circumstances brought them here get better. But I do believe in choice. If I ever got in a situation where the job market was so bad I couldn't find another job and I was about to be homeless I should have the right to CTB with a straight forward pain free method. But the anti choice people have ensured that can't happen.

my friend jumped off of a bridge around here many years ago but not sure how high it is but it isn't insanely high, and i think there was no water at the bottom that day.. he did successfully die but the autopsy (or what ever examination they did) showed that he was alive for hours down there before he died..

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. There's always water under this bridge, so I hope if the impact isn't enough drowning should finish the job
