okay please help me out guys i literally cant take this shit anymore. i've been thinking about ctb for years now and it's never gone away, i am withering away quite literally with no friends to really hold me back anymore.
can i hang myself with a bedsheet or does it have to be something skinny like a jump rope or SOME kind of rope because all i see people talking about and the examples shown are always skinny ropes. i know how to tie a noose and can learn other shit if the bedsheet is an option
partial hanging or just the regular kind of hanging, i need both of these hanging types answered, i would appreciate it so much

rope thickness/type might depend on weight and what kind of position you're in to hang urself. strangely enough, i think i heard it's a different knot that tightens and more weight is pulled down compared to a regular noose. someone else can probably answer ur questions more in depth, liking and commenting so hopefully more people can notice

Bedsheets are possible but yeah ju have to make it a bit skinnier, just cut it to some pieces and braid them together if they feel too thin like that. The reason it "has to be thin" is because of weight distribution. Like, if you hold something with a bag with a skinny handle compared to a backpack and its thick straps, it's harder to carry since the surface you hold is smaller, therefore the weight is more concentrated. See more at pressure in physics, pressure equals force divided by area, the smaller the area, the bigger the pressure.

Tl;dr thinner is better. Sorry for the tangent!

Rusty Cage has a catchy lil song about how to tie a noose, look up "the noose song" from him and there you go :hihi:

Edit: also! in case of bedsheets, the material is also important i guess. Anyway, try them in advance, slam the door with it attached and whatnot.

that's the hangman's noose used for drop hanging executions. what people are meant to use is a noose knot:

really good way of explaining how weight distribution works. i've never thought of how backpack straps work until now. my right shoulder always gets sore trying to carry my laptop in a messenger bag and my hands have a hard time holding up thin grocery bag handles when there's a jug of milk inside.
