Hi guys sorry to bother you but with partial hanging which side should the line be putting pressure on the left side or the right side of my neck? Been reading up that you have the colotroid artery on both sides of the neck so which side would you put pressure on.
I've looked on the mega thread but could not find the info thanks

Andy, Im not too familiar with the hanging methods, so Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the point is to place pressure on both arteries.

Having the knot behind the neck is probably the best way to get pressure on both carotid arteries.

Ive tried that but that just focuses the pressure on the front of the neck/jugular, very uncomfortable

I think to successfully CTB with partial hanging, it will probably be uncomfortable and/or painful for the 10 to15 seconds to when you go unconscious. To get the required pressures to close the carotid arteries requires a lot of force squeeze the neck.

try different positions below and above the Adams Apple. My most comfortable position that seemed to make my light headed was about 1/3rd the way up my neck from the bottom. I am still here though so I am still fighting SI.

Is there any way of getting around the SI kicking in?
