Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this shotgun. Is it easy to use? I have no experience with guns. I am planning on buying it this weekend. Any help would be appreciated.

The "break open" 2 shot kind, or the newer style ones? Really no different than any other shotgun. How you plan on holding it since the barrel is 18 inches plus? Planning on orally shooting yourself? You only need to load it with one shell because that's all the shots you're going to get off anyway. Gonna use buckshot, right? You'd need to set the stock on the floor while sitting on a chair in order to reach the trigger. Too hard to try and hold up in the air. Should be as effective a way as you can get.

I'm going with a mossberg 12G. I've never fired a firearm in my life and I'm petrified of them. The gun store I'm buying the shotgun from offers lessons which I will take... I need to feel comfortable using the weapon

All I know is it is a single shot.
