It's so embarrassing to talk about this but my Reddit accounts that I've had for 6+ years got permanently banned and I feel so awful. I talk a lot about my illness on there and also just talk to a lot of people and now my outlet is just gone. All because I stupidly made a post on my alt account on sub where I thought I was shadowbanned but turns out it was a permanent ban. probably for the best but it still sucks. Maybe I was too dependent but I've had my account since I was a teenager. I know I shouldn't be upset over this but I am and it's embarrassing.

Same thing happened to me, it's so dumb. You can get banned on there for literally anything

if it makes you feel any better, reddit fucking sucks balls and quite frankly it got even worse after 2023/2024. Site became unusable because the average redditor became so disconnected with reality and rude along with blantant bot posts and astroturfing aka we're pushing an agenda.

I was also permanently banned after making a post about why sometimes suicide is the best option. And my points were all valid but you know people can't handle the truth about that kind of stuff. So I tried setting a new account up under another email address but they still new it was me and was immediately rejected. I think maybe they can tell through the IP address but I have a new phone and phone number now and was going to try and sign up again and see if it works.

I hate to be that guy, but Reddit is a joke tbh. Its only good for finding tech problems solved by deleted users like 5+ years ago.
