Planning on hanging sometime soon, full suspension. I bought plenty of 1/2" polypropylene rope, just not sure where to hang/ how to decide between potential ligature points. Theres a large load bearing pillar + beam in my basement that could definitely support my weight, just nervous about my body thrashing around loudly and alerting someone who might be home. I dont really get a lot of alone time in my house so I was planning on doing this in my basement while my housemates sleep on the second floor. I could hang myself on a tree outside its just cold lol and ive tried it before and its so much more logistical than hanging myself in my basement with a chair. Would love some advice so as to avoid doing something too stupid :)

Hi there. I am unaware of your particular background and this is only my opinion but I would definately CTB somewhere else other than my house. Just imagine your housmates finding your body. It will be quite a shock for them. I tried to CTB with full suspension once (I failed) and I did it in an airbnb and I even put up a warning sign on the door that there is a dead body inside.

My housemates are kinda ass. I dont mind if they find me, but I will leave some cautionary notes before they reach me to at least give them the option to call police without seeing me. Moreso concerned about the noise that results from full suspension, as Im a bit too squeamish to watch videos of succeessful hangings to get the idea myself

Yes, noise is another reason why it would be best to do it somewhere else where you have some alone time. I think full suspension is kinda noisy. You kick around, struggling, etc.

If there is enough space around you, that you would not hit anything with your body, there will be no noise.

If you don't mind me asking, what caused you to fail at full suspension hanging? I mean what went wrong with it? I want to CTB and that is a method I'm considering but I don't want to fail at it. This is so frustrating. I have tried partial multiple times and still haven't been successful with that.

Actually my SI kicked in. I stepped off the chair but I did not kick it away. I must have hanged for a couple of seconds and I realized it is extremely painful. I panicked, my SI kicked in and I climbed back onto the chair.

I understand. It seems so easy but yet it isn't. I am having a hard time pulling of CTB. I am miserable and need to do it though. A gun seems like the best method, I don't have one though. How these teens hang themselves so easily when I'm a full grown adult and can't pull it off baffles me.

Yeah I've done this before too :( not a good time for my neck/throat for the following week or so. Thanks for the advice on noise; I would hate to get caught halfway thru an attempt like that. Will probably opt for the outdoors i suppose, although its the middle of winter. :,) i
