I have never attempted hanging, hanging sounds like an awful way to leave this world, I have a fear of it going wrong. I understand the feeling of desperation. I know that this life can be unbearable when you are suffering so much. I'm sorry that you are in this situation. I wish you the best in whatever happens.

Sorry to hear that. Why not find another method? Hanging, while popular, is not the only way out.

This person is in a care home, so there are some 'situational' limitations.
It's near impossible to do right. You can literally turn over whilst unconscious and wind up with a nice bruise on your neck. Please stop attempting this method. Eventaully the bruises will show enough to raise people's suspicions.
They already know I've tried to hang myself multiple times, and I have a nice red mark on my neck from yesterdays attempt lol

You must overcome the survival instinct, give it a bit, I've tried too and failed but it's possible, SI got me but leave it a while to see where you are at. When hopeless and helplessness worthlessness apppears, it may push you over. I'm waiting for that, have my plan, it's full and I cannot fail
I feel like I've already overcome it but I tried hanging yesterday (for like the 12th time) and it freaking hurts man

It's when you have nothing left, if you feel that then good luck but something is holding you. It's painful and then peace but if doubting, take time, I'm waiting till I'm totally pushed.Similar threads
