• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hello! I see this pop up frequently enough of people sharing images or descriptions of ropes they have and asking if they will be ok. The answer is, no one here can tell you. The only way you're going to know if your specific rope is any good/will hold your weight is if you have the manufacturer's specifications of the rope. Please check this and take your time learning about it all because we seriously can't tell you anything if you say 'I have this rope, I bought if from a store and it's nylon will it be ok?' :)

I suppose there is a lot of information about this in the resources, also I believe that the standards of brands and materials differ in some parts of the world so this has to be handled with delicacy.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. That's why people can't just tell someone a rope will be good enough from a photo or description. Always need to check manufacturing details.
