That's fantastic!
The first step is often the most difficult one, you have all the reasons to be proud of yourself!
I wish you all the best on your new path and stay strong! The road may be bumpy sometimes, but you managed this, you'll manage the rest as well! You got this!

The urges can be brutal can't they! I struggled with mine for a time, they are horrible. You've got this though, you are smashing it! I know for me, doing something else when I get the urge helps to make a routine of it. I am autistic though so maybe that's why it works haha. Like each time I get the urge, I'll take a shower, usually a cold one to kinda reset myself a bit. Nowadays I typically get the urge for cold showers instead.

Good luck <3 <3

Omggg I know how hard it is to throw your blades away so I'm reeeaaally proud of you for doing it!!! If I can give you some advice, you need to know that those urges may never really go away, but they can get better and less intrusive.

The best thing to do is try to make up another habit to manage the urges. That habit could be taking a cold shower like @Yuri440 , it could be taking a walk or playing a game or talking to a friend. Personally, I've recently started drawing cute things (which will usually involve many, many snails xD) on my arm/thigh whenever I get the urge.

Also, recovery isn't linear! You may (and if I can be frank with you, you'll probably) relapse in the future, and that is okay! The most important thing to keep in mind is that when you relapse you don't make it a habit again, that's the killer! As long as you're able to cut short your relapses and don't give up, you'll be allllright!

Good luck!! We're in this together okay?
