Feeling Guilty and Ending the Guilt

Someone I know died... and I didn't do enough to stop it...

And I miss that person a lot and feel guilty all the time.

I feel like life is ruined, no matter what I do. I think death will end that pain.

Having a sucky day in some ways.

Grief is a HORRIBLE taskmaster. Grief AND GUILT are unbearable. I know it's easy to say but do not do that to yourself. It was your honor (not your job) to be a friend. It was NOT your responsibility (or right, for that matter) to keep your friend from dying.

We all come and go in our own time. Honor your friend by reflecting on the good times y'all had. And don't beat yourself up.

We all have sucky days. Sometimes they turn into sucky years. Don't let guilt destroy your peace, because you can only be responsible for yourself. I'm sorry you miss your friend. It's not your fault. Feel better I hope.
